Arrested Developement is almost certainly the cleverest show ever put on television. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 30 Rock, and the Office are all new classics of television, but i have a hard time believing that the people voting for them have ever seen AD.

I do agree that Buffy is the best show ever, but for comedy? No way. Arrested Development is, without a doubt, the funniest thing that's ever been on TV. The sort of show you can watch over and over again, and still find new jokes.
Buffy isn't comedy! How did you let this happen? Arrested Development and all of the others are way overrated. I don't care if it didn't make the cut, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is number one.

Buffy is absolutely the best, but, as many others have commented, I don't believe it really fits into the comedy category (although it is quite funny). However, it gets my vote anyway.
Buffy. Weird category for it, but BtVS has never failed to transcend pesky guidelines such as categories. :)

Never saw Arrested, The Office, or Buffy. Simpsons was o.k. and SNL was only great when Belushi did Samuri warrior skits, Dan Akroid and Jane Curtain being The Coneheads, and Eddie Murphy doing his spoof of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. My picks for this catagory would have been Roseanne, Third Rock from the Sun, Two and a Half Men, I Love Lucy, and for a cartoon, it would have to be between Family Guy and The Boondocks.
The Office is very good, but Arrested Development has better writing. Simpsons is past its prime.
