There is absolutely no getting around the fact that, if you're going to watch sketch comedy, you're going to see some bombs. The nature of the game is that some skits are going to be funny, and some of them are going to be just godawful. That being said, Groundlings is one of the best troupes around, and Hulu has some real gems on the list.
If you watch enough Groundlings, it's only going to be a matter of time before one of your favorites graduates into Saturday Night Live (or some other major comedy outlet). They have an impressive list of alumni ranging from Adam Carolla to Phil Hartman to Conan O'Brien.
As the latest case in point, check out this skit-- the woman is Michaela Watkins, one of SNL's newest not-ready-for-primetime players:
