Most Popular TV Clips of the Week

It's all about the sketch comedy this week, as Saturday Night Live sewed up all five most popular clip spots on Hulu this week (Attack of the Show clocked in at number six with a clip entitled "Olivia Shows Her Boobs to Kevin"). Word is that SNL ratings are way up in this election year, and apparently Hulu viewers agree.

#1: SNL Katie Couric/Sarah Palin interview parody

Tina Fey as Palin has deservedly set the internet afire with hilarity. Hopefully the clip's moment in the sun will outlast Palin's. Political career.

#2: SNL Joe Biden/ Sarah Palin debate parody

Jason Sudeikis as Joe Biden was great, but Fey stole the show with her opening line ("Is it okay if I call you Joe? Good, because I practiced some zingers where I call you Joe!").

#3: SNL Obama/ McCain first debate parody

A classic debate sketch, but not quite at the level of the hilarious Bush/Kerry debate sketches of four years ago. After some initial controversey, Armisen is starting to look very comfortable and natural as Obama.

#4: SNL Joe Biden/ Sarah Palin debate parody

This was the first, and best, of the Fey-as-Palin sketches. Fey and Poehler are dream casting, with perfect chemsitry. Palin's dippiness stands in sharp contrast to Hillary Clinton's overwhelming frustration. It's worth a fresh viewing.

#5: SNL Clinton Halloween Party Sketch

This clip aired last November, and so it's a little puzzling that it made the top five this week. One possible explanation is that it's the only time before this week that Jason Sudeikis has played Joe Biden, but I'm reaching here.
